Cartagena Film Festival

Get ready to see through the lens of Latin America’s most Important film festival.

For more than half a century, Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias (FICCI) has shone an illuminating spotlight on the Hispanic filmmaking culture and some of its most important creations.

Join the action in March every year and immerse yourself in the cinematic brilliance of Latin America.

The five-day Cartagena Film Festival will not only give you a chance to see some of the best movies in Latin America, but also some incredibly important films from across the world.

A handy timetable will show you which films are playing at the various locations across Old Town.

Choose your favourites and conveniently travel between showings via a dedicated shuttle bus service. And if you’re worried you’ll miss out on some great films because you don’t speak Spanish, fear not – many of them have English subtitles.

You can also expect to find workshops, special events and film premiers, as well as other educational talks that will give you insight into new trends in filmmaking. It’s a movie buff’s dream!

While the festival is essentially free, a pass will set you back about USD$50. This gives you priority entry into any film shown during the festival – a great way to avoid lines, which can get quite long at the popular screenings.
