Cartagena & The Rosario Islands.

Escape from routine and head to Cartagena, the Caribbean paradise that will seduce you with its history and its crystalline waters.

The Lowdown.

An action-packed, culturally-enriching escape through Colombia’s Carribean coast will have the whole family mountain biking through tropical forests, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of the Rosario Islands, and eating some of the country’s best cuisine in the stunning colonial city of Cartagena.

What We Love

  • Colombia is still a relatively undiscovered destination, meaning you can still enjoy quiet hiking trails, peaceful retreats, and off-the-beaten-track adventures without the crowds

  • Delve deeper into new cultures, and a fiercely traditional way of life. This trip is fun and educational!

  • With epic scenery, tons of adventure, and so much to learn, there’s little time for mobile phones and iPads. This vacation is all about disconnecting from the everyday,  and spending quality time with your family

  • This jam-packed itinerary takes in the highlights of Colombia’s Carribean coast, such as the Rosario Islands and the UNESCO-listed city of Cartagena

  • You’ll have some of Colombia’s most knowledgeable experts to guide you every step of the way, meaning you don’t just get to travel further, but deeper

Kickstart your Colombian adventure with a five-star private ride from the airport to your very own colonial mansion in the heart of Cartagena’s beautiful old town.

After you’ve had time to settle into your luxurious 5-bed crib, we’ll head out into Cartagena’s romantic cobbled streets in search of the city’s best seafood at Juan del Mar restaurant, where impossibly fresh shrimp ceviches, octopus carpaccios, and chargrilled lobsters await (if the little ones aren’t all that keen on seafood, we’ll happily arrange a kid-friendly menu of tasty pastas, burgers, or pizzas).

Day 2 — Explore the Real Cartagena.

It’s one thing getting to know the city’s well-trodden Old Town, but we want you to experience a side to Cartagena that not everybody gets to see.

On day with one of local heroes will take you on a cultural tour of the “Real Cartagena”, taking in the graffiti-covered walls of the bad-boy-gone-good neighborhood of Getsemaní, as well as tasting Colombia’s best street food at the colorful Bazurto Market, riding a canoe through the lush mangroves in La Boquilla, and, finally, stopping by a local school. After all that exploring, kick back with a glass of wine and taste the best of Caribbean cooking at the brilliant La Cocina de Pepina.

Day 3 — Mountain Biking and Beachside Relaxing.

Day three kicks off with an exciting 3 km mountain bike ride through beautiful Tierrabomba, the largest of Cartagena's nearby Caribbean islands.

The little-trodden jungle dirt tracks here will allow you to experience parts of the island that many don’t get to see, as well as giving the little ones the opportunity to spot plenty of wildlife.

After all that peddling, you’ll be rewarded with a delicious two-course meal at the Blue Apple Beach Club, where you’ll also be able to take advantage of the beachside pool, luxurious loungers, and knock-out cocktails.

After you’ve all had your dose of vitamin sea and poolside fun, we’ll whizz you across the crystal-clear Caribbean waters back to Cartagena, where you’ll finish your day with a traditional Colombian meal at the much-loved family owned Cande restaurant.

On day four we’re headed to the islands - but, this time, we’ll hang out here for a little longer in the crystal clear waters of the Rosario Islands National Park.

Spend the morning exploring the islands of your choice - snorkeling and sipping cocktails as you go - in your very private speed boat with bilingual concierge.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, stop off at a picture-perfect eco-resort with its own private beach area, great food, and even better cocktails. Choose from spending the night here, or continue onwards to the equally idyllic private island retreat, Coconut Island. We know...decisions, huh?
