Cervecería Maestre

Developed near Parque Lleras, this microbrewery serves some of the best craft beers in Medellin with the 90s rock style.

The Lowdown.

The garage-sized venue has got a local pub vibe, spilling out onto the street. Located in the heart of the Poblado in Medellín, this microbrewery founded in 2017 provides unique varieties of beer for the most demanding palates.

Using natural products and a simple style, these small brewers have found a way to top the list of the best breweries in Colombia since they first opened their taps five years ago.

The warm atmosphere contrasts with the eclectic and cosmopolitan vibe of Medellin. Its owners, Mario Hazbun and Laura Mesa, influenced by the British style for making the house's craft beer, have created three masterpieces: Bitter, IPA, and Stout.

The golden ale, with the hint of a zesty British bitter, is a keeper.
